Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
YourIntervals is built so you can train without giving up your data. This policy covers the YourIntervals iPhone app and this website.
1. Controller
Tobias Hann, Korbgasse 24/10, 1230 Wien, Austria — support@yourintervals.com. See the imprint.
2. The app
- No account, no server. The app needs no registration and has no backend. We don’t collect, transmit or sell personal data.
- Stored on your iPhone. Your FTP, preferences, paired device identifiers, custom workouts and ride history stay on your device and are included in your normal iPhone backups.
- Bluetooth. Used only to connect to your smart trainer and heart-rate sensor. Device identifiers never leave your iPhone.
- Purchases. Processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.
- Exports. FIT files are created only when you export a ride and go only to the apps or services you choose.
- Strava (optional). If you connect Strava, you sign in on Strava’s own page and the app receives an access token (stored in your iPhone’s Keychain) that only allows uploading activities. Rides are uploaded to your Strava account when you tap “Upload to Strava”, or automatically after each ride if you leave auto-upload on. The upload contains the ride recording (time, power, cadence, heart rate, speed, distance) and the workout name. Legal basis: your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Strava’s privacy policy applies to data on Strava. Disconnecting revokes the token and deletes it from your device.
- Optional, anonymous analytics (opt-in). Only if you choose “Share” (during setup or in Settings › Privacy), the app sends anonymous usage events and crash reports to PostHog EU Cloud (PostHog Inc.; servers in the EU). This includes which screens and workouts you use, workout start/finish summaries (duration, completion, average power, estimated TSS), trainer brand/model and connection outcomes, purchase outcomes, app version, iOS version and device model, linked to a random anonymous ID created on your device. It never includes your name, email, advertising identifier, location (IP-based geolocation is disabled), Bluetooth device identifiers, search text, workout definitions or per-second ride data. Data isn’t sold, used for advertising or linked across apps. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) TKG 2021 / § 25 TDDDG). You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings › Privacy; collection stops immediately. Without consent the analytics SDK isn’t started and nothing is sent.
- No tracking. No advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs, and no location permission is requested.
3. This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics, no tracking and no external fonts or scripts. When you visit it, our hosting provider easyname GmbH (Vienna, Austria) processes technically necessary data in server log files: IP address, date and time of the request, requested page, referrer, browser and operating system. This is required to deliver the website and keep it secure (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The hosting provider processes this data on our behalf. Log files are kept only as long as necessary for these purposes and then deleted, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.
Links to the App Store, Strava and other external sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.
4. Email
If you email us, we use your message and address only to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete it when it’s no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Because the app stores data only on your device, you can view and delete it there yourself. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Austria the Datenschutzbehörde (dsb.gv.at), or the authority in your country of residence.
6. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect data from them.
7. Changes
We’ll update this policy when the app or website changes. The current version is always available at https://www.yourintervals.com/privacy/.
