Train Smarter
How ERG mode works
Why the trainer does the pacing for you.
In ERG mode your smart trainer holds the target power for you. Pedal faster and resistance drops; slow down and it rises, so your watts stay on target.
Keep a steady, comfortable cadence (around 85–95 rpm) and avoid sudden stops. Free-ride segments, like sprints and the 20-minute test, release ERG so you control the effort.

Try thisConnect your trainer and try a steady endurance ride to get a feel for it.
